Rotation #15
Hope everyone had a nice Valentine's Day. I probably should've done a love themed rotation either this week or last week, but I didn't think of it. But this week's rotation has a lot of love songs, so I guess it worked out anyway?
K
I never really listened to his music before, but I watched two of his PVs today and decided to upload them because they're just so beautiful and moving. I really love the unique settings they have. And he sings beautifully as well. His songs are really mellow and emotional. I'm really glad that I took the time to watch his PVs.

Nakanomori Band - Raspberry Pie PV
This is actually the only other PV I have in this rotation. It's very rare that I have more albums/singles on a rotation than PVs, but this week I forced myself to upload fewer PVs. Both this video and song are kinda cute. The video mostly shows the band playing their instruments. I can't quite put my finger on what American singer they remind me of in this song.

BoA - Outgrow [Album]
This is BoA's latest Japanese album. It includes her last two singles. I suppose you could say there's variety to the album. She seems to be leaning toward dance songs. I actually think I prefer her ballads. I mean I really liked 'Girls on Top' but there's nothing really like that on this album, so I still prefer her slower songs. In fact the song that this album is named after kind of reminds me of Britney Spears. But I guess she may be the closest thing Korea has to Britney Spears. I mean she's managed to dominate the music industry for so long, and she's even fairly successful in Japan.

Ayabie - Japanese Low-Res Caramel Town [Single]
I like the way the first song starts out. It's light and pretty and of course there's the traditional touch to it. I really like the way the song's sung. Somehow it makes it kind of catchy even though it's not really a catchy type of song. If anyone wants the PV for this song, let me know and I'll upload it next time. Both the second and third song are not as memorable in my opinion, but they're still alright.

Sid - Hoshi no Miyako [Album]
Their single 'Hosoi Koe' really left an impression on me so I downloaded their most recent album. I have to say I'm not disappointed. There's something about their style that I really like. I can honestly say I like pretty much every song on this album. I especially like tracks 2, 5, and 7.

Ping Pung - Love & Hate [Album]
Ping Pung is one of the few artists that I actually really like from Hong Kong. Their sound can be very different from the typical Chinese artist. Some of their songs are very... spunky. They're just a lot of fun to listen to no matter what kind of mood you're in. They also have their share of ballads like all Asian artists, but their faster songs are absolutely amazing. Anyhow, I really recommend downloading this.

JJ Lin - Cao Cao [Album]
I think JJ Lin is actually the artist that got me started on cpop and Asian music in general. I just heard his song 'Jiang Nan' and fell in love. It is such a beautiful song; a lot of his so songs are really beautiful. His ballads are completely mind-blowing and his fast songs are always fun to listen to. This album is no exception.
